About Jeffrey R. Pratt, Attorney at Law

The practice of law offers fantastic opportunities to help others by using the legal system to make the world better place.  Often our courts are the forum of last resort, where the overriding principles are to enforce the laws and “do equity.”  To be a lawyer is to have a sometimes unique opportunity to fight to injustice, to defeat the oppressor, to right the wrongs, and to compensate the injured.  This is why Jeffrey Pratt became a lawyer! 

 

Mr. Pratt received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ball State University, with a major in Political Science and minors in Sociology and Spanish.  While in college, he was elected Vice President of the Student Association, Chairman of the Student Senate, and Co--Chairman of the University Board of Review.  He is a member of Blue Key, the Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society, and the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

 

Before pursuing his legal career, Mr. Pratt was accepted in the graduate program in international relations at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and briefly pursued a master’s degree in International Relations, before changing course and accepting full time employment as a professional ski patrolman for the second busiest ski area in the United States.  As an expert alpine skier and certified first-responder in EMT level winter emergency care, he skied over 100 days per year, assisted injured skiers, provided emergency medical care, conducted avalanche control, and search and rescue.  He has handled over 100 skiing accidents and has rendered life-saving emergency medical assistance both on and off the slope.
